“We recently built our home with BuildTec Homes and, to be honest, the whole experience exceeded our expectations.

What stands out most is how much we genuinely love the finished home. The quality of the build and the attention to detail are obvious throughout, and it’s something we continue to appreciate every day. It really feels like a home that was built with care, not just put together.

The entire process from start to finish was smooth and well managed. Communication was clear and consistent the whole way through, which made a big difference. Any questions we had were handled quickly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. That level of support made what can often be a stressful process feel straightforward and enjoyable. We were also really impressed with the professionalism of the team and how organised everything was throughout the build. “Customer focused, great communicator and most importantly, listener. Reading other reviews highlights the fact that we are not unique in enjoying a truly great experience with the BuildTec team. We engaged Todd at BuildTec after a long search, with preliminary architect plans drawn up as a guide and numerous quotes for a design we had our hearts set on. We are grateful that we persisted with the time and effort to eventually find BuildTec. This project could not have been managed better by any other builder, in our opinion.

Our first meeting with Todd convinced us that BuildTec would partner and project manage our custom home and studio, both to a high standard and to budget. Todd reflects our thoughts back through practical design scenarios and every subsequent step of the applications and build. BuildTec offered great flexibility and autonomy for us when it came to design elements, colours, features and also provide expert guidance when we were really torn between options.

To walk around our new home and look at all the magnificent detail and craftsmanship on display really shows how BuildTec set themselves apart from the mass production builders. This is a bespoke job that illustrates the pride taken in the build. We had regular site visits with Todd, and had the opportunity to see the quality at every stage. Todd will always cast a critical eye over the work of his team and ensures only the highest standard of completion, even if that means doing something again - including getting on the tools himself. He clearly leads by example.

BuildTec took the time and effort to focus on the planning process with us, which reflects in the precision and high end quality of the work - not just a cookie cutter design that doesn't work with the land. In a Flame Zone area build such as ours, the look, the feel in every respect fulfills and exceeds the vision we had and is a perfect fit for our property. Our design had some unique elements that harnessed Todd's skills as a builder, designer and project manager, with elegant solutions suggested and executed by Todd, Sophia and team for every challenge. Over the build, we had small changes to some design elements, and these were always accommodated. Todd also suggested some enhancements and changes that really made a difference - he could see things that we hadn't envisaged. He is a patient and reassuring partner - taking so much stress out of the process.

We are in a bush land setting, and bound to some of the strictest council rules on building. This created both a challenge and opportunity for Todd, which he embraced and fully project managed from beginning to end. Council proved challenging and changed some requirements mid-stream (mainly around pipes / drains etc) which added some cost, but kept to a manageable level through Todd's skills as a manager and negotiator - always keeping our best interests at the forefront of his work, whilst ensuring all council requirements were met and often exceeded. He invested time in sorting things through and made it easy on us. Todd always demonstrates the highest Customer service - consistently so!

It has been a pleasure every time we meet Todd and Sophia - and to feel like a true partner in the process. It's exciting! Nothing is a problem, there is a solution always on offer. Such a positive, can-do attitude has delivered us our dream home that we know will stand the test of time. We'll be here a long time. Thank you!

“We met Todd after we had already paid the initial deposit with another corporate builder. Nonetheless, we took a chance with BuildTec Homes to proceed and we are glad we did that! This is our first house in Australia and we had so many requirements to get it perfect. BuildTec Homes is a customer builder and that is what Todd delivered - a customised experience based on our needs and requirements. My wife and I spent numerous hours with Todd to design the perfect plan for our house. We were demanding and uncompromising on our design principles. And Todd was a great partner to help us and guide us to get there. His patience and calm demeanour is what got us there.
